6. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical  
replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use  
accessories intended for use with this product.  
7. Avoid electrical accidents. This Cleaner is intended for indoor areas only and  
is not to be used in damp areas. Never use this product in a bathroom or any  
other area where accidents involving water and electric shocks could occur.  
Check with your Physician before using this Air Cleaner in a nursery.  
Unpacking  
When unpacking, check to make sure the following parts (shown on page 5)  
are included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at  
the number on the cover of this manual.  
Operation  
The HEPA filter silently removes dust, smoke, pollen, and odors from pets or cooking.  
The Control Panel (7) has a Speed Control and a Programmable Timer.  
The Programmable Timer allows operating time from 1/2 hour to 7-1/2 hours.  
Operating Instructions  
1. Locate the Air Cleaner on a flat, solid surface such as a table or floor. Plug the  
Air Filter into an electrical outlet. Press the ON switch on the Control Panel (7).  
The Power Light on the Control Panel will come on indicating that the Air Filter is  
operating. (See Figure 1).  
2. To set the timer: press the “Timer Control” button until the desired Timing Light  
(or combination of lights) lights up on the Control Panel (7). You can set the  
Speed Control to High or Low by pressing the Speed Control button once or  
twice until the desired speed is indicated by the light. (See Figure 1).

3. Changing the Filter. Unplug the Air Cleaner from the electrical outlet.Remove the  
Top Cover (1). Lift out the Filter Holder.The first layer is a Sponge Filter (2). (After  
a period of time, this Filter can be washed with slightly soapy water. Be sure to dry  
it completely before reinserting). The next layers are the Active Carbon Filter (3)  
and HEPA Filter (4). Reverse instructions to replace the Filters. After the unit is  
reassembled, plug the electrical cord back into the electrical outlet. Change the  
HEPA Filter about once every 6 months. (See Figures 4, 5, 6).

4. IonTesting. With the Power ON, hold the  
Ion Tester (8) on the area marked for your  
thumb. Hold CLOSE (1 or 2 inches) to the  
Ionizer (6). The Light on the IonTester (8)  
should shine, indicating that the Air Filter  
Air Outlet (5)  
is operating properly. Caution: Do not  
insert the Ion Tester (8) into Ionizer. If the  
light does not come on, replace the Ionizer  
Handheld Ion Tester (8)  
(6) or see a qualified repairman. (Figure 7)

Maintenance  
1. When cleaning the shell, use a soft damp cloth and no chemical cleansers.  
2. Avoid vibration and impact.
